Yamaha XS 750 by Spirit of The Seventies

L’Inghilterra è una terra promessa per le café racer: ci sono gli Inglesisti esperti in Triumph, Norton e BSA (dove se non lì) ma anche gli appassionati di moto giapponesi. Non si contano i chopperisti ma nemmeno le Guzzi e Ducati circolanti. Se si cerca qualcosa di particolare, si è praticamente certi di poterla trovare, o quanto meno realizzare, al di là della Manica.
Spirit of The Seventies è un’officina giovanissima gestita da due ragazzi che respirano moto da quando sono nati, apprezzano la velocità e il sibilo dei motori nipponici e strizzano l’occhio alle linee aggressive delle racer di fine ’70. Si vede tutta, sulla loro XS 750, la voglia di farla correre più di tutte le altre (non per niente anche il motore ha subito il suo bel tuning), ma anche quella di colpire con un diretto al naso il brat-biker più tranquillo per poi chiedergli “Bella la tua moto, ci si raccolgono bene i fiori?”.

The UK are the promise land for the café racers: there are experts on Triumphs, Nortons, BSAs (where else if not there?) but also customizers of Japanese motorcycles. Choppers are so many that they are hard to count, so are Guzzis and Ducatis. If you are a European rider looking for something really special, you’ll rather search for it across the Channel.
Spirit of the Seventies is a young shop ran by two guys who have been breathing le moto since they were born, appreciate the sound of Japanese multi-cylinders and take inspiration from the late ’70s racers. You can smell the search for the speed in their XS 750 (there wouldn’t have been no other reason to tune up the engine that heavily) but also the wish to hit the random brat-biker in the face at the traffic light, and then ask him “Nice bike, is it good to pick-up flowers?”.
