Come ci racconta Fidirico “il mercato delle obsolete non soddisfaceva a pieno i miei gusti, ma quando un giorno ho incontrato Retro Garage ho improvvisamente capito che volevo una cafe racer. Ho comprato questa “piccola” e l’avventura è cominciata con la preparazione delle varie parti. Difatti, oltre all’estetica, i ragazzi di Retro Garage hanno curato anche la ciclistica e la meccanica, con la revisione e il miglioramento delle performance di ciascuna componente”.
[As Fidirico tells us “the market of vintage motorcycles was not meeting my wishes, but when I ran into Retro Garage I knew I wanted a cafe racer. I bought this “little trap” and started preparing all its parts. Besides the aesthetics, the customization work has regarded all the mechanical parts, with the revision and the performance improvement of each of the components”].

In effetti, i cambiamenti su questa V35 sono tanti e importanti: cilindri e testate sono stati rettificati, mentre le fasce dei pistoni e le guarnizioni del tutto sostituite. Ogni ammortizzatore è stato revisionato, sabbiato e verniciato. Il serbatoio, così come le altre componenti verniciate, è stato prima sottoposto a sabbiatura. Le pedane e la sella sono state realizzate da artigiani locali e i tubi dei freni sostituiti da migliori componenti a treccia.
[The cylinders have been rebuilt, while the pistons have been replaced. Each absorber has been reviewed, sandblasted and painted. The tank has undergone the same process. Footboards and seat have been handcrafted by local artisans and brake pipes replaced by aeronautic pipes.]
