Triumph Bonneville “Shorty” by Mr. Martini

Mr. Martini realizza special quasi sempre su base Triumph ed è uno dei costruttori più noti anche al di fuori dei nostri confini. La sua fortuna (preferiamo chiamarla bravura) ha inizio tra le mura della Triumph di Verona, di cui è stato concessionario fino a Dicembre 2014.
La Shorty è un progetto di qualche anno fa che trae ispirazione dal mondo del flat track d’oltreoceano. Anzi, a guardarla bene è proprio una moto da flat track, con l’assenza del freno anteriore e di altri aggeggi (come luci e fari) necessari a circolare per strada.

[Mr. Martini is one of the most famous builders in Italy: his bikes, Triumphs above all, have been featured in several international offline and online media. Furthermore, until last December, he owned the Triumph dealer in Verona.
The Shorty is not a new project but we find it so cool that we could not deny to publish it. The inspiration comes from American flat track races. Actually, the Shorty is a 100% flat track bike, without a front brake and other “stuff” (i.e. lights) that would make it street legal].

La base è una Bonneville del 2006 profondamente modificata per l’uso su pista di terra battuta ma non meno stilosa di qualunque altra special che esce dal laboratorio di Mr. Martini.
Dal punto di vista tecnico, spiccano gli ammortizzatori Bitubo al posteriore e lo scarico Zard costruito ad hoc.
Se vi è piaciuta la Shorty non perdetevi la Moto Guzzi “Champion”, realizzata da Mr. Martini per il campione di nuoto Filippo Magnini. Se siete interessati alla scena custom Veronese, vi raccomandiamo anche la Triumph Scrambler di Fabbris Moto.

[The donor bike is a 2006 Triumph Bonneville, totally modified for the oval track, but not less stylish than any other custom motorcycle that comes out of Mr. Martini’s workshop.
From a technical point of view, we notice Bitubo shocks at the back and the specifically built Zard exhaust.
