Walt Siegl è un riferimento nella new wave of custom motorcycle: dal suo laboratorio nel New Hampshire ha raggiunto una fama planetaria grazie alla pubblicazione di alcune sue moto su volumi di prestigio come The Ride, sulle riviste specializzate e sui blog di mezzo mondo. La sua passione sono le Ducati, ma si dedica spesso anche a altri marchi, preferibilmente Europei.
Questa 900 SS è stata ricostruita da zero per un cliente che, già proprietario di due modelli recenti, desiderava qualcosa dal sapore vintage e dalla bassa manutenzione, ma al contempo in grado di conservare l’aura sportiva che contraddistingue le bicilindriche di Borgo Panigale.

[Walt Siegl is one of the most respected custom motorcycle builders: from his workshop in New Hampshire he has reached global fame due to the publication of his creations on prestigious volumes such as The Ride, specialized magazines and blogs all around the world. His work focuses on Ducatis above all, but he also uses other donor bikes, with a strong preference for European brands.
This Ducati 900ss has been rebuilt ground-up for a customer who already owned two recent models and wanted something of vintage flavor and low maintenance, but still capable of giving great performances and strong emotions].

Il motore è stato completamente rivisto, con l’aumento della cilindrata a 944cc, carburatori Mikuni da 39 e terminali Giannelli. Anche la ciclistica ha subito una profonda trasformazione, con l’adozione di una forcella Showa all’anteriore e di un Ohlins completamente regolabile al posteriore.
L’elettronica si trova all’interno del codone. Per quanto riguarda il frontale, Motogadget ha fornito il contachilometri e il faro anteriore è quello di una Ducati Monster.

[The engine is now 944cc and has Mikuni 39 carburetors and Giannelli mufflers. The suspensions underwent a complete transformation with the adoption of a Showa fork at the front and an Ohlins shock at the back. The electronics are wired under the tail. Motogadget provided the speedometer while the front light comes from a Ducati Monster].
