BMW R 100 RT “Desert Sled” by Los Muertos Motorcycles

Se nuotare tra gli squali o accarezzare i leoni in Sudafrica non è abbastanza avventuroso per voi, sappiate che gli amici di Los Muertos Motorcycles vi aspettano insieme alla vostra moto alla Kalahari Speed Week per una settimana di corse nel deserto con dragster, hot rod e qualunque mezzo in grado di superare i 300 km orari.
La Desert Sled di sicuro non vincerà la gara per le moto più veloci ma il posizionamento sul podio delle più belle realizzazioni custom non gliela toglie nessuno.

Le modifiche sono cominciate dall’eliminazione della super carenatura tipica del modello RT e sono proseguite con varie modifiche al telaio e al sottotelaio, fino a donarle quelle linee da scrambler anni ’70. I colori del serbatoio contrastano con le forme vintage della moto ma l’insieme di classico e aggressivo è perfettamente in armonia con lo spirito istrionico del brat biker. Le gomme sono TKC e Metzler da enduro.
[First, our friends at Los Muertos Motorcycles removed the standard fairing, then chopped the subframe and modified the frame in various points until they were able to obtain real 70’s scrambler bike’s lines. The tank’s colors create a contrast with the bike’s vintage line but the mix of classic and aggressive is perfectly coherent with the histrionic personality of the brat biker. The tires are TKC and Metzler Enduro].
